Website - Person inside solo

These are the top 6 headings that I have discovered through my research, are vital on an artists webpage. These key headings will allow the viewers to get inside information about the band, and at the same time the headings will help promote the band.

The homepage must sum the band up in one page, little information should be needed but a quick understanding on the theme and type of band they are should be quickly interoperated. To create a strong link with the music video.

Music - This will promote the bands music and allow viewers to discover who they are and what they do best. If you have discovered an artists webpage, one of the first things that viewers will do is listen to their music.

Videos - Videos promote the band further and allow viewers to get more personal insight into the band. For example, for person inside, it gives the audience an idea about where the lyrics have come from and what the lead singer Kendall is all about.

Photos are important to have on the website to show where the band have been, there experiences, what they are like, they're theme/stereotypes etc. This allows viewers/audience to follow the bands steps and discover what they are about.

News - this includes all the latests updates about where they have been, where they are going next, any information on whether they are bringing out new tracks or videos etc. These makes the site more interactive and allows the audience to watch the bands movements.

Contact - This will allow 'person insides' audience to contact the band with any queries or requests. If a record label, or events person wanted to get in contact with the band, this is the information that would be used.

Dance a la plage - Website Research

Dance a la plage are a new band, that are starting at the bottom. This year they have played a number of times at the O2 in Oxford, and they have also been at parties and other events.

There website includes: News, Vita (their story), Media (there song clips), Live (Tickets and gigs), Gallery, Shop, and Contact Details.
- This is all the key details that there audience would be interested in, and allow them to follow the band.

- The band focuses a lot on social networking sites such as; Facebook and twitter. The band are on a low budget, so therefore this method of advertisement is crucial for them to get there name out there and make the most of word of mouth.

- The music video on youtube brought huge opportunities for them,  within the first week it hit 20,000views.

Ancillary text

I must now decide which ancillary text I would like to do, to go with the music video.
My choices are:

A Website homepage for band
A cover for it's release on dvd
A Magazine advertisement for the dvd

I have decided to do a Website homepage for the band, and a magazine advertisment
For the website i will be using a programme called Wix, and to create the magazine advertisment release i will
use my own photography and photoshop. The reason I decided on these, was based on the
fact I felt they were more suitable and matched the image of 'person inside'. I felt my target audience would
not be interested in a DVD release, do to their interests.
